Baxter of California, the original experts in men’s grooming and personal care, was founded in Los Angeles in 1965 and inspired by LA culture.  From the skate and music scenes, to surfing, art and the California life-style, Los Angeles is a widely diverse and authentic region that inspired Baxter of California’s philosophy of grooming as a self expression.  There is no right or wrong way to groom---there is only being true to yourself, going with the flow and being comfortable in your own skin.  Baxter of California’s wide range of skin care, hair care and beard grooming products offer something for every personal style and preference, with an emphasis on effortless premium performance.

History

Established in 1965, Baxter Finley created the award winning men’s brand Baxter of California in response to the lack of men’s products on the market, and the growing demand for male grooming products.  Due to the brand’s large success, Baxter of California soon began rolling out its full lines of skin care, hair care and shaving products.  In 2010, the Baxter Finley Barber + Shop opened on La Cienega in West Hollywood, providing services specially tailored to men’s skin and hair.  Since it’s opening in 2010, all Baxter of California formulas and launches are tested and approved at the Baxter Finley Barber + Shop to ensure premium performance and results.  All of Baxter of California’s product are developed, tried and tested in Los Angeles, California.
