The Art of Shaving
As the top-selling men's brand at high-end department stores, the Art of Shaving has become the most highly acclaimed brand for men's grooming. Cultivated out of the kitchen of their own home, the company stayed progressive and was then acquired by Procter & Gamble in June of 2009. Successful in great aspects, The Art of Shaving continues to live by the promise to be a household name for generations to come.
History
Founded by entrepreneurial couple, Myriam Zaoui and Eric Malka, the story of The Art of Shaving unfolded with a simple stroke of Eric's razor, glazed with the nourishment of Myriam's specially formulated pre-shave oil. In the search of opportunities to start anew, the couple moved to New York City in 1995, where Myriam began studying Eastern medicine and Aromatherapy. During that same time, Eric worked with a small company as a distributor for men's European grooming products. In the fall of 1996, the first Art of Shaving shop was then opened in Manhattan. Today, the company continues to be nurtured by its talented and passionate founders, along with their successful shaving system —“The 4 Elements of the Perfect Shave."
